Our optimized file and Redis cache backend are designed for first-class tagging support (Redis not required). In addition, our Redis backend is a pure-memory cache backend with tagging support without a dependency on a slow file cache which other Magento memory-based backends depend on (memcache, APC, etc). This extensions will hugely increase performance of flushing cache systems using tags which improves performance of the Magento cache and the Full Page Cache.
